The Los Altos City Council will consider an ordinance Tuesday to allow off-leash dogs to run at a community baseball field.
The ordinance will approve the creation of the Hillview Baseball Field Off-Leash Dog Pilot Program. Residents would be able to release their dogs in the baseball field every morning and evening from April through September.
Hillview Baseball Field is located near Los Altos City Hall on North San Antonio Road.
Los Altos has 3,800 licensed dogs, and 35% to 40% of its residents own a dog.
