Who will be Palo Alto’s vice mayor? Cormack or a slow-growther?

Who will become Palo Alto’s next vice mayor may be a topic of tonight’s City Council’s meeting.

Although the new council will be controlled by slow-growth, pro-resedentialists once the two new council members, Greer Stone and Pat Burt, are sworn in, a pro-growth council member, Alison Cormack, may still be in the running for vice mayor.

Tom DuBois has been the vice mayor for the past year, and will likely take over as mayor, said outgoing councilwoman Liz Kniss, but she said the race for vice mayor could be a toss-up.
