Palo Alto may ‘brown out’ fire station

One of Palo Alto’s fire stations could be “browned out,” or left empty, after 8 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends due to budget cuts, according to Palo Alto Fire Chief Geo Blackshire.

  1. How much will this increase the response time of ambulances for people in medical emergencies? If I were a resident nearby, I’d be up in arms.
