Two first-time candidates have pulled papers with the county to run for the Palo Alto school board, which has three open seats this fall.

Karna Nisewaner, vice president and associate general counsel at software company Cadence Design Systems, Inc, has declared her candidacy through the county. She serves on the Palo Alto Community Child Care board.

Jesse Ladomirak, who works at house renovation firm Teevan, has also declared that she will run. Neither have finished filing all of their paperwork.

There are three seats up for election this November. Incumbents Jennifer Dibrienza and Todd Collins have both declared to the county that they will be running. Katie Causey, a fundraiser for nonprofits, announced her campaign earlier this month.

Incumbent Melissa Baten Caswell is running for Santa Clara County Board of Education and will not be trying to keep her seat in Palo Alto.
