Gloria Mae (Secker) Capra, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home on June 17, 2020. She was born to Nell and George Secker in Redwood City, CA on September 24, 1931. Gloria attended Mount Carmel and Sequoia High School in Redwood City.
Devoted Wife to Gene Capra for 66 years, she married her high school sweetheart on June 5, 1954. Adoring Mother & Mother-in-Law to Patti and Jim Stephenson, and loving “Gramie” to Nichole Robertson & Ryan Stephenson and Great “Gramie” to Linden Robertson & Colin Stephenson.
Gloria is preceded in death by her loving children Kathleen Capra, Gene “Danny” Capra, and Michael Capra.
Gloria was known for her big heart, positive attitude, her love of travel, and her knack for crocheting. Gloria and Gene spent their retirement traveling around the United States in their RV, site seeing, golfing and visited 47 states. They spent many weeks and weekends RV camping with their friends and tailgating for 49ers Games at Candlestick Park. Gloria loved to dance and decorate the house for every occasion. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and reading a good book. Nothing made her happier than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Gloria’s name at the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation or the Vista Center for Blind and Visually Impaired.
