A fight between two teenagers in front of the Century Theaters in downtown Redwood City ended up with one of the teens getting a “minor laceration,” Lt. John Gunderson said yesterday (Jan. 31).

The fight occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 26) at Broadway and Middlefield Road and is still under investigation. Gunderson said that no one is in custody or has been charged at this time.

Some social media accounts have said that the incident was a “stabbing.” While Gunderson could confirm that one of the teens got cut, he wouldn’t say what exactly happened.

“We are still investigating in an attempt to confirm the details of what occurred,” Gunderson said in an email. “We have not received the level of cooperation we would prefer from either party thus far, which is hampering the investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident can call police at (650) 780-7100.
